Cruising with DFDS Seaways

Dear friends and readers,

What's your favourite family time activity? Have you ever thought of spending some time on cruise? I would recommend you to take your family on a cruise. It is so relaxing especially for all time busy people like us but not to worry, there are lots of activities for children and lots of duty free shops to keep your wife occupied... ahaks.

I have been on a short holiday on DFDS Seaways. We were sailing from Newcastle to Holland. Well, I would say, it was a splendid vacation. A great experience for me and my family. Initially, I thought that being on cruise would be scary as you are floating on the water in the middle of nowhere. Well, I was thinking that, you know, anything might happen and should something happen, we are far from the grounds. Hahahahaha... how silly I am. I was wrong and totally wrong.  In fact, it was actually safe and fun. Oh, do not worry about safety measures... they are well prepared! Let's take a look at some of my pictures below:

This is the ship that we boarded - Princess of Norway. Quite a big ship and nice. This is the view from the parking lot where we have to queue before entering the ship.

Another view of the ship....

A close up view of the ship...

My girl  at the parking lot while waiting for the boarding time...

 Close up look....

Finally, on the ship. The outside view before departure.

Another view... ahaks....

This is the cruise lobby where u can find the help desk and customer service desk. Unfortunately, the staff members are not very friendly and I must say that they lack good communication skill. They really have to work on their communication skill and I have the feeling that these staff members ada sikit diskriminasi pada orang yang bukan berkulit putih. This is the only thing that I dislike about DFDS seaways.

From the board itself, you can see that there is a lot of activities for adults and children. You will not be bored on board.

That's the signage for the restaurants. In fact, there are three restaurants on board which serve different kinds of food. So, bak kata pepatah melayu... 'tepuk dada tanya selera'. Cuma, harga jangan tanya la. Memang mahal giler. Since makanan luar tidak boleh di bawa masuk ke dalam kapal, maka, hendak tak hendak kena lah beli juga.

Signage for Deck 8. Lots and lots of interesting activities including shopping!!! MAke sure you have lots of money in the pocket because there is a lot of interesting things in there!!! Murah pulak tu..... Bar, sports centre, disco semua ada dalam kapal jika berminat nak lepak lepak kat tempat macam tu. Pool/ billiard pun ada. Hmmm.... what else ya.... lots and lots actually... want to know more? Well, why don't you book yourself a ticket on board! mesti best punya.

 The lobby again....

This is the kids club where my youngest girl spent most of her time. This section is located near the restaurant. So, sambil makan boleh tengok anak anak main.

Ada pulak terselit burung biru ni hah. Habuan budak-budak. Apapun, my girls enjoy sangat.

and finally, before we leave.....

Look at my heavy bags there. That is one. I have more bags which are not in the picture! Gosh...

On the way back to Scotland, we boarded the ship called King of Scandinavia. It is a bigger ship than Princess of Norway with better room and facilities!

Well, what do you think? Go to www.dfdsseaways.co,uk for more information...

cheers,

Noor
